This course is designed for students of Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering and is available in the Academic Year 2024-25, Sem I. The course has five units. It serves as a foundation course and reviews the concepts oscillations, wave phenomenon, lasers and holography, solids and semiconductors and electromagnetism. It has a fair share of theory and applications to make the budding engineers aware of the fundamental concepts underlying day-to-day phenomena. This course will be using class activities to convey the concepts and help in better understanding of the subject. Lastly, efforts will be put to make the subject interesting. An active participation from the learner is expected!
